The Clydesdale Fireplace Insert
The Clydesdale fireplace insert is as impressive as its namesake the majestic Clydesdale horse. Like the steed, the Clydesdale fireplace insert produces a combination of both power and beauty. The 2.4 cubic foot firebox produces 60,000 BTUs of heat and can heat up to 1,800 square feet. The thick soapstone panels that line the inside of the firebox give the Clydesdale the thermal mass that separates HearthStone stoves from other products. The combination of cast iron and soapstone will add several hours of heat life to the already strong burn time of up to 10 hours.
The large glass door on the front of the Clydesdale provides an unobstructed view of the entire firebox. The primary and secondary air systems combine for dazzling fire viewing on high or low settings. The non-catalytic combustion system produces an efficient burn; producing only 3.2 grams of particulate matter per hour, it easily meets the stringent requirements mandated by the EPA.
The Clydesdale has the features you’ll like. The front door is reversible. In minutes, it can be changed to fit your needs. The stove is easy to operate. A single easy to use air control is used to set the burn rate – no complicated bypass damper to worry about. A secondary air baffle removes easily making the chimney liner installation and cleaning more trouble free than with many other units. An adjustable flue collar and variable depth on the hearth allow for installation in a large variety of fireplaces, including zero clearance fireplaces. Accessories include a spark screen, mantle shield, surround caps, and a variable speed blower. The Clydesdale is made to meet your needs.
