1850 Introduction

Model 1850, 30" range is shown here in white with the optional warming shelf. It features four high speed radiant electric elements (two 1500W and two 2000W) under a black ceramic smooth top. Also available in place of smoothest are two 1500W and two 2000W "Ultra Temp" cast burners on a porcelain top. On both systems infinite burner switches and burners let you "fine tune" the heat for precision cooking control. Burners will automatically shut down to half power if a pot boils dry. Many cooks do prefer smoothest because of its almost instant heat up and quicker cleanups although cast burners do look more traditional.

Electric Radiant Elements Under Black Ceramic Glass

The combination of hi speed radiant elements under the glass ceramic cooktop gives the user almost instant heat, uniform cooking and fast boil times. Heat is directed straight up, so only the cooking zone gets hot. Push to turn infinite heat controls, let you "fine tune" heat for precision cooking.

Upper Cabinet Features

Hidden in the cabinet is an electronic clock control system and a powerful (350 CFM) exhaust fan that can be vented to the outside or recirculated through a charcoal filter. A cabinet light illuminates the cooking surface or will act as a night light. The decorative, removable warming shelf option can hold spices, etc..

Important:

Range will fit into a 30 1/4" opening providing that the frame around the lower cabinet is at least 3/4". If possible leave 33" between base cabinets. NOTE: Outside width between front legs is 32 3/4". Electric models are shipped with standard 220V range cords. Best location for 240 volt receptacle is center of opening, 8" off the floor.

Exhaust Outlet Location:

From floor to center of exhaust outlet is 62 5/8" from left base cabinet to center of exhaust outlet 10". To center range in opening, width between base cabinets should be 33". Exhaust outlet measures 3 1/4" X 10".
